How do I use the whitelist.json file on my server?

Place the downloaded whitelist.json file in your Hytale server's configuration directory. Restart your server to apply the whitelist settings.

What does "Whitelist Enabled" mean?

When enabled, only players whose UUIDs are in your whitelist can join the server. When disabled, anyone can join (public server).

Enter the player's in-game username in the search field. This tool will look it up in the PlayerDB database and add their UUID to the whitelist.

Your whitelist is saved locally in your browser. It persists across sessions, but is never sent to our servers — everything happens on your computer.

The tool will show an error. Check the spelling of the username and try again. Usernames are case-insensitive.

Quick guide

Keep "Whitelist Enabled" on so only listed players can join your server, and check the live whitelist.json preview as you build the list.

Click Download to save the generated whitelist.json file containing every player UUID, or copy the JSON directly from the preview.

Place whitelist.json in your Hytale server's configuration directory and restart the server, or run the /whitelist reload command.

Your whitelist is stored only in your browser via localStorage. It persists between visits and is never sent to AlaHytale servers.
